One of the most important Spanish painters, El Greco, lived here. You can appreciate his work in different museums. You can also visit old synagogues such as Santa Maria la Blanca, the Cristo de la Luz Mosque, the Monastery of San Juan de los Reyes, and the most important monument, The Cathedral of Santa Maria, known as the treasure of all the Spanish Cathedrals, due to the richness of the treasure it keeps inside. Toledo has also been considered a National Heritage City since 1985. In the case you spend more than one day in Madrid, an excursion to Toledo is a must.

The latter created a special type of architectonic style, called “Herreriano”, very appreciated in the construction during the 17th century. Aranjuez Palace

This palace was built for leisure, for the kings during long spring seasons. Situated at the banks of the Tagus River, it is a privileged place, surrounded by beautiful gardens, similar to the French gardens style of the 18th century, splashed by fountains and sculptures. So beautiful are its gardens that in the year 1938, musician, Rodrigo composed his famous adagio “El Concierto the Aranjuez”. Segovia

Saying Segovia makes always bring you to think of its Roman aqueduct. Amazing construction from the 2nd century, with 167 arcs, more than 20,000 granite stones, joint just by balance of power – without cement. While walking the city, you will visit and live its history, its customs, its singular Segoviana architecture, as well as the Cathedral of Segovia, last gothic cathedral built in Spain in the 17thcentury. Lastly, the other Segovian symbol: El Alcazar, a fortress and palace, is the preferred residence of the Castilian kings.
